Azlan Ibrahim
Azlan Ibrahim is the communications director at Farough & Associates. Az has worked as a journalist covering national and international news for the Detroit Free Press, as well as at other news outlets. Az has served as a communications director for a congressional campaign, a political speechwriter, and a communications strategist and writer for national and statewide issue advocacy campaigns. He also has extensive experience in corporate communications and marketing, spearheading corporate campaigns, growing community relationships and expanding equity and inclusion.
In 2019, Az helped launch a national health care nonprofit made up of physicians advocating for progressive health care issues. He helped guide messaging for successful legislation in more than a dozen states, from expanding access for low- and middle-income families to drug company accountability to paid medical and family leave.
In his spare time, Az volunteers on the board of directors of a nonprofit advocating for children harmed by abuse and neglect. Az lives in Muskegon, Mich., with his wife and their two sons. When the sun is out, he and his family explore Michigan lakes and rivers by kayak.
